Skin undertone calculator with an olive check

Answer what you see while draping fabric and holding white paper by your face. Draping reads your warm, cool or neutral undertone. The paper test checks for an olive overtone on top of it.

Draping: your undertone

Hold each fabric directly under your chin and watch whether it makes your skin look healthier or unhealthier.

With a cool fabric under your chin, your skin looks…
Hold something orange next to your face, then something cool blue. Which makes your face look fresher?

White paper: any olive overtone

Hold the paper just under your jaw. It shows whether a green or gray cast sits over your undertone. In this calculator, your undertone comes from draping alone.

Next to the white paper, your skin looks…

Tests we leave out

The vein test, the sun-reaction test and jewelry preference are not part of the score. Vein color depends on skin thickness, capillary depth and lighting. Sun reaction comes down to melanin levels, skin depth and genetics. Jewelry preference is a weak tiebreaker at best.
